Amanda and Paul first met while they were sophomores at Loras College in the spring of 2012. For their first date they went to dinner at a restaurant in downtown Dubuque called Crust and then went out to a party
On a trip to Colorado, Paul proposed after they made it to the top of a mountain. Paul suggested they take one more photo with their Go-Pro, instead he started recording a video, capturing the entire proposal.
The moment they loved most from their wedding day was their first look; which was followed by an intimate letter reading to each other. It was a very important and meaningful part of the day.
Paul says, “There was never one defining moment that I knew Amanda was the one. I just knew from the moment we began dating that I never wanted to spend my life without her and I pictured her in every aspect of my future. She was always the one!”
Amanda says, “The moment that sticks out to me knowing that I loved Paul and that he was "the one" was when he first met my family. I remember walking outside and even though he had just met everyone, he was already talking, laughing, and fitting right in with my dad and grandpa. I was just hoping they'd all like each other, but it was so amazing seeing them mesh so well! I knew Paul was The One at that moment.”
